What sets the Artisanpouch apart is its unique properties. Designed with a focus on economy in both design and manufacturing, the packaging uses the least amount of material possible, making it environmentally responsible. Despite this, it's able to accommodate the largest devices in the mobile market. The efficient use of shelf space and the ability to adapt to various case sizes were also key considerations in the design process.

The Artisanpouch is made of sustainable recycled/recyclable card, with a clear PET plastic window. This choice of materials reflects the brand's commitment to sustainability. The packaging opens using a tuck lock sleeve with a thumbhole opening, which helps pull out the inner sleeve containing the product. This thoughtful design ensures ease of use for the consumer.

The design process, which took place at Creativitea's Guildford studio from July to December 2011, was not without its challenges. The team had to create a design that was environmentally responsible and used the least amount of material without compromising the packaging's effectiveness in protecting the product and delivering the brand's identity. The solution was a generic 'shell' for the product that could be edited to fit another handset with a supported product range.

The Artisanpouch's design specifications are as follows: Outer Packaging - W 110mm x D 25mm x H 200mm, 400 GSM silk matte laminated, PET sheet window, 4 colour litho spot UV finish. Inner Packaging - W 109mm x D 22mm x H 180mm, 400 GSM silk matte laminated, 1 colour spot black, 5mm closed cell packaging foam.

The Artisanpouch's design and manufacturing economy, environmental responsibility, and ability to accommodate the largest devices in the mobile market have earned it the Golden A' Packaging Design Award in 2012.
